HI, I’M ROD AMBARA
My name is Rod Ambara, I am from Switzerland. I transform life by supporting and empowering people I have the opportunity to work with, in my private practice as a Life Coach and NLP practitioner. My main coaching goal is to give people necessary tools to get to know who they are so they can heal themselves. As the result, they will be able to build a fulfilling life.
My name is Rod Ambara, I was born in Cameroon and grew up in Switzerland. My goal is to transform lives by supporting and empowering people I have the opportunity to work with. I have a private practice as a Life Coach and NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming) practitioner. My main coaching goal is to give people the necessary tools to get to know who they are and heal themselves. As a result, they will be able to build fulfilling lives.
I am a proud member of Achology, The academy of modern applied psychology. I hold a certificate in Life Coaching, Neuro-linguistic Programming, (NLP) Master Practitioner, Hypnotherapy Practitioner, Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) Practitioner, Counseling Practitioner and Art Therapy.
I also have a degree in social work and I have been working as a social worker for 10 years. In 2015 I moved to Seattle to join the love of my life. I founded a non profit called The Kayla Project with the mission to empower communities through the Expressive Arts. In the same year, I got married and became a dad. As I was going through all of these massive changes in my life I was struggling with a lot of anxiety and depression. I took to alcohol, tobacco, sugar, travel, and changing jobs as my coping mechanisms. In retrospect, I see that I was looking for happiness outside of myself, and giving my power away at the same time. Then when things were not happening the way I wanted, I was blaming the people the people and circumstances around me. And things were not harmonious in my life, as you can imagine!
My life was full of drama and trauma, and I didn’t know what to do. I saw a couple of counselors, took some medicine (“blue pills”), my mother even took me to see a pastor who was to deliver me from the devil! Yikes-this was getting out of hand! I’m not ashamed to share this because I survived it and luckily, can laugh about it now. But trust me, it was not fun to live at the time.
The good news is that it all led me to a path that has given me such incredible levels of healing and transformation. Diving into life coaching and NLP have given me the tools to stay away from fear, insecurity and anxiety. With these tools, I’ve been able to heal my past wounds, get to know my true self, as well as get to know my values and be profoundly secure with my life goals. Phew! Triumph!
